So inspirational for me as a parent of a boy with learning differences."

A social movement leader on the front lines of the educational equity movement.

Diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD at a young age, David later committed his life to students who learn differently. In addition to founding and serving as the Chief Executive Officer of The ND Alliance, a national nonprofit on a mission to improve the educational experience and outcomes of students who learn differently, including those with a specific learning disability (LD) or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), David regularly speaks to audiences ranging from students and educators to social entrepreneurs, policymakers, and corporate leaders.

His first book, Thinking Differently: An Inspiring Guide for Parents of Children with Learning Disabilities, was published by HarperCollins. In it, he sets out to enlarge our understanding of learning and offers new, powerful strategies for teaching, parenting, and supporting the 1 in 5 students in the United States who learn differently.
